Stargate Universe - obecný pokec

Tak to jsou zatím jen takové hrubé nákresy. Kdo viděl making of SGA ví, že se to ještě může změnit.

Vypadá to zajímavě. Zdá se, že loď bude tak trochu jiná než klasická pozemská, že?

Hmm... nevím, nevím... Nějak moc mi to k antikům nesedí. Ty organické tvary křesel, konzolí a pár dalších věcí vůbec nevypadaj. Možná to pravda bude tím, že posledních pět let vídám v SGA pořád antický hranatý tvary vs. wraihský oblý/organický tvary designu...
Samozřejmě, Destiny bude z podstatně jiného období než Atlantis, potažmo Aurory... A i design se mění, takže prostě v době, kdy ji vypouštěli, frčelo u Antiků tohle

Každopádně ta chodba mi nějak moc připomína NX-01

Tak hlavně tenhle se mi líbí hodně. Taky je fajn, že je to jiné než vetšina lodí, co v SG zatím byla.

Ty concepty nevypadají špatně. Ale všichni víme, jak se ty arty můžou lišit od pozdější skutečnosti.

Mi zase ten design připomněl starou RPG hru Harbinger (mimochodem tam taky šlo o jednu obří vesmírnou loď.

Osobně bych ty chodby udělal buď kulatější, nebo důsledně hranaté, jako ty atlantiské.

Už se těším, jak to bude vypadat v realitě. Původní concept na Atlantis vypadal také úplně jinak než ve skutečnosti je.
Hlavně jsem také zvědavá na volbu herců. Doufám je, že vyberou rozumně, aby si zase někdo nemohl stěžovat na začínající herce, co neumí hrát .

Mno... já bych to právěže viděl na začínající nebo nepříliš známé herce. Řekl bych, že k tomu přistoupí stejně jako u SGA, kde po zkušenosti, co je stojí honoráře známých tváří v SG1, řadši vzali kopu neznámých, nezkušených nebo levnějších herců - s pár výjimkami.
Btw. nebude to sice ten hlavní důvod, proč SGA vypadala jinak, ale určitě to k tomu přispělo - zdědila hodně kulis po Blade Trinity...

Vzhledem k tomu, že většina postav je ve věkovém rozmezí 20 - 25, tak bych to viděla na nějaký začínající herce. Ale nebála bych se toho v SG1 taky byli všichni z počátku né příliš známi herci (krom RDA) a jak se předvedli.

Na SGU se těším, doufám, že se těším oprávněně.

Buď to bude tvářit vážněji jako DS9 nebo jako odlehčený klon Farscapu (tipuju to druhé).

V obou případech budu plně uspokojen.

Podle mě to bude vypadat jako SG, akorát se to bude odehrávat na lodi...

Um... To snad ani nejde. Farscape sám o sobě je většinou lehčí než helium

Tím jsem myslel, že po nich nikdo zatvrzele nepůjde Tvrdá enemy rasa, kterou nakonec nějak dáme, ať už battlem nebo domluvou, to už nudí....
Nepřítel musí být, ale žádní stálí zlouni co budou ubohé pozemšťany v kuse lovit.

"We’re writing the premiere episode," he confirms. "Brad and myself are spinning that story, and we’re coming up with new episodes for the first half of the season as well. We're also in the preliminary casting process, and designing the sets and looking for key crew members – it’s full steam ahead right now. Our target is to start shooting early February and be on the air in July of ’09."

Casting notes leaked online several weeks ago, revealing that the producers are looking for a core cast of six - four actors and two actresses - to launch the series. Though the team is lead by Colonel Everett Young, who is described as being in his forties, the rest of the characters - Tamara Jon, a field medic; Chloe Carpenter, daughter of a US senator; Eli Hitchcock, mathematical genius; Jared Nash, a lieutenant at the SGC and Ron Stasiak, a US marine, are listed as being in their twenties. Some fans have queried the wisdom of having such young characters, but Cooper points to the youth of Stargate SG-1's cast when it launched.

"The SG-1 cast were quite young when they started," he argues. "Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping were both in their early twenties when they first started the show – it just was on for ten years! So I don’t think we’re doing anything different than what we’ve done before when we’ve started a new show."

The writer confesses to being particularly excited about the series concept, and thinks it has a lot of potential to return to the early style of the Stargate franchise.

"One of the things I'm really excited about is that we’re looking for people who are a little more identifiable and contemporary," he explains. "I always thought one of the things that was attractive about the original series was the 'everyman on the street' point of view that O’Neill had to science fiction. It made the characters identifiable. They were more like we would be in a science fiction situation, and how we would react. And that’s what we’re trying to do with the new show – create characters that are going to be challenged by the situation. The team that ends up on the ship is not really who was supposed to go, and in some cases they’re very unprepared and unqualified to be in that situation. So they don’t have all the answers as quickly, and the challenges are greater than they would be for people who have seen it all and don’t have as far to go as characters when they encounter an incredible situation."

Though casting is still in its early stages, Cooper rules out the permanent inclusion of any well-known characters from the two previous Stargate series.

"It’s an all new cast," he confirms. "There will certainly be plenty of opportunity for cross over, and there certainly might be some familiar faces in the premiere and in subsequent episodes. But the core of the show is all new."

Though it's too early to reveal any of the names that the producers are considering for Stargate Universe, Cooper hints, "We’re certainly looking at some [well-known] names, for one of the lead roles in particular. But for the most part many of the cast will be either new faces, or people you’ve seen in other stuff but maybe aren’t as aware of."

So, until everything is finalized, fans eager to know will just have to sit tight. Cooper, however, promises it'll be worth the wait.

"It says Stargate in the title, but it’s also going to be something that is very different in tone," he says. "It will certainly have a Stargate in it, but is going to be unlike anything Stargate we’ve ever done before."

Děkuju Jenom jsem listoval TV programem a takhle tam bylo popsáno SG.. Asi si neuvědomili, že RDA nehraje MacGyvera..

Jinak k těm konceptům...přál jsem si, aby to nebylo tak...organický..takhle mě to moc nenadchlo..

Our second order of business was providing notes for episode #1. Brad and Rob did a terrific job of kicking things off in thrilling fashion. The script is fast-paced and fun; its characters unique and engaging. My favorite: Dr. David Rush. Oh, he’s going to be a handful. Originally planned as a two-parter, Brad and Robert quickly discovered that there was simply too much story for such a tight frame, so the series opener is now looking like a three-parter.

jj mohlo by se to povést 3 dílnej open... mohli by celou serii dát kontinuálně... jen aby mallozi nenakecal nějaký voloviny..

Hmm... tree-parter, mňami. Tříhodinový úvodní trojdíl odvysílaný během jediného večera řekl bych to ale nebude, to by bylo moc už i na dnešní Američany... doby originální BSG už jsou dávno za námi... Ale třeba mě zase někdo vyvede z omylu.
Spíš bych to viděl tak na klasické rozvržení premiérového dvojdílu a o týden později třetí epizoda, která bude uzavřením celé premiéry seriálu.

Také si nemyslím, že budou trojdíl vysílat úplně za sebou. Na někoho by to třeba moc nebylo , ale neviděla bych to ani jako štastnou variantu.
Souhlasím s Halajdou, také bych to tak viděla...

No, kdyby to byly 3 hodiny v jednom kuse, tak bych to bral, byl by to možná lepší zážitek než filmové zakončení SGA, ale protože je pravděpodobné, že to v kuse nebude, tak bych to trochu zkrouhnul na 2 díly v jednom večeru, aby open epizoda nebyla dělená..protože se na to již budeme dlouho čekat a pak čekat další týden na další epizodu,.. to by moje psychika neunesla a já bych asi pokousal monitor...
